As I was running down the lane
My head full of dreams of a happy pain
I saw a beautiful house by the glittering sea
Then it crossed my mind it’s the place I should be
The smell of dew on the grass and wooden wall
Velvety fog was the house for the birds that fall
My heart was open like the folding doors
A woman greeted me with a warm hello
As I walked on to take a look around
With caress of wild wind so hardly found
That’s where I felt my heartbeat get so fast
And an endless joy that was here to last
I saw your silhouette and a blur of your friend
Fading away in the joy of a happy end
You were so near, at the same time so far
It was a story I’d heard from my guitar
A stinging wave of happiness rose to the sky
The sight of gray sea urged me to fly
I ran with invisible wings of eternity
Then I plunged headlong to the world of reality
